Description of key information

One valid OECD 203 study in Zebra fish (Danio rerio) according to GLP is available. Zebrafish (Danio rerio) were exposed for 96h to Reaction mass of Fatty acids, tall-oil, compds. with oleylamine and Fatty acids, C18-unsatd., trimers,  compds. with oleylamine as a water accommodated fraction prepared at loading rates of 0 (control), 100 mg/L under static conditions.  The 96-hr LC50 was > 100 mg/L based on the loading rate of the test substance.

In a 96-hr acute toxicity study, zebrafish (Danio rerio) were exposed to Reaction mass of Fatty acids, tall-oil, compds. with oleylamine and Fatty acids, C18-unsatd., trimers, compds. with oleylamine as a water accommodated fraction prepared at loading rates of 0 (control), 100 mg/L under static conditions in accordance with the OECD 203 test guideline. The water pH, temperature and dissolved O2 were within acceptable guideline specifications. The 96-hr LC50 was > 100 mg/L based on the loading rate of the test substance.

Concentration control analyses were not performed, because a reliable method for analyses in the required concentration range could not be developed. However, since all reasonable efforts were taken to produce a saturated solution of the test substance in test media

following the guidance in OECD 23 [Ref. 7] and the test fish were exposed to the entire loaded mass of test substance for the duration of the test, the results based on the loading rate. In this study the loading rate is 100 mg/L.

The results in this study are consistent with all validity criteria and the test is valid according to the guidelines of this study. No deviations from test guidelines or other incidents occurred during the course of the reported test which may have influenced the results.
