Based on:
test mat.
Remarks:
nominal
Exp. duration:
1 h
Mortality:
No mortality was observed (0/10 male rats)
Body weight:
Weight gain male: 102 g (within the normal limits).
Gross pathology:
No gross pathologic alterations observed at the end of 14-day observation period.

Any other information on results incl. tables

The average 2-week body weight gains were within the normal limits. Necropsy, performed on all rats at the end of the 14-day observation period, did not reveal any gross pathologic alterations.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
In an acute inhalative toxicity study with Dodecyl pentadecyl methacrylate with male Charles River rats, an LC0 > 1.42 mg/L air (0/ 10 animals died) was observed.
Executive summary:

In an acute inhalative OSHA toxicity screening test with Dodecyl pentadecyl methacrylate (purity: unknown), the test substance was administered for one hour in a concentration of 1.42 mg/L air to 10 male Charles river rats. There were no signs of intoxication reported within the 14-day observation period. No mortality, normal 2-week body weight gain. Necropsy, performed on all rats at the end of the study, did not reveal any gross pathologic alterations.

The determined LC0 was > 1.42 mg/L air in male Charles river rats.
