Description of key information

In a freshwater static test with Daphnia magna a 48-h EC50 > 100 mg/l was found.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Two GLP compliant short-term toxicity studies with Daphnia magna are available. In a static test a 48-h EC50 of >100 mg/l was determined according to OECD guideline 202 (BASF, 2002) and in a flow-trough test a 48-h EC50 of >109 mg/l was determined according to EPA guideline (Wildlife International, 1995). Furthermore, a calculated effect concentration is available for freshwater invertebrates; 48-h LC50 is 5943 mg/l. The lowest measured value of >100 mg/l is used in the assessment.
