First-aid measures

Inhalation: Mechanical irritation caused by dust in the  airways: Remove person from dust-exposed area.

Skin contact: Wash skin with water and/or a mild detergent.

Eye contact: Rinse eyes with water/saline solution. See a physician upon persistent discomfort.

Ingestion: Remove source of further ingestion. See inhalation.

Fire-fighting measures

The silicate (itself) is not combustible.

Extinguishing media:Not applicable.

Accidental release measures

Avoid handling that generates dust build-up

Released material (silicate) should be collected in suitable containers. Use vacuum cleaner rather than sweeper.

Avoid reactions with acids like hydrofluoric acid (HF) and nitric acid (HNO3) that HF and HNO3 leading to the formation of toxic gases.

Storage : Keep dry .

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid dust generation. Wear protective clothing, gloves and goggles.

Wear  respiratory protection where applicable.
