First-aid measures

General advice : Remove contaminated clothing immediately and store/dispose of safely.

After inhalation: Ensure supply of fresh air. In the event of symptoms seek medical advice.

After contact with ski: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with soap and water. Consult a doctor if skin irritation persists.

After contact with eyes: In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

After ingestion: Rinse out mouth and give plenty of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. In the event of symptoms seek medical advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media : foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder, water spray.

Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: Full water jet

Special hazards from the substance itself, its combustion products or from its vapours: In the event of fire the following can be released:

- carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide

Special protective equipment for firefighters: Do not inhale explosion and/or combustion gases. Use self-contained breathing apparatus and wear protective suit.

Further information: Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.

Cool endangered containers with water spray jet.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment.

Keep away sources of ignition.

Environmental precautions: Do not allow  to enter drains or waterways.

Do not discharge into the subsoil/soil.

Methods for cleaning up/taking up: Take up with absorbent material (eg sand, kieselguhr, universal binder). Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with the regulations.

Handling:

Advice on safe handling: No special measures necessary if used correctly.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion:  No special measures required.

Storage:

Keep container tightly closed in a well-ventilated place.
