She only presented a clear allergic reaction to the substance (at 2%), with induration, many papules and some vesicles, spreading outside the patch test area at day 2 and still visible at day 7. After withdrawal of the causative product and treatment with a local corticosteroid and emollient, her dermatitis regressed. However, she continued suffering from intermittent hand dermatitis.

Conclusions:
Sensitisation to skin is possible, as shown in this case study with an atopic woman with multiple contact sensitivities.
