Additional information

The substance is not readily biodegradable in OECD 301F test. There is no release to the aquatic compartment due to the handling of the substance in closed systems during formulation and the applications described in chapter 3.5 of IUCLID. Therefore, no further testing is proposed to investigate the degradation of the test substance.

The substance is considered to be hydrolytically stable at pH 4 and 7. Hydrolysis of the ester-bond was observed at pH 9.0. It is recognised that the nature of the test item is a UVCB, with many different chemical structures present in the substance, so it would be scientifically impracticable to make a detailed analytical evaluation of the exact chemical hydrolytic products. Hence Tier 2 studies cannot be performed.
