Description of key information

There are no acute toxicity studies of iodmonochlorid available. Results of two acute toxicity studies are cited in RTECS database.

(Kodak Company Reports (343 State St., Rochester, NY 14650) 21 May 1971)
Dermal (rat): LDLo 500 mg/kg bw
(Kodak Company Reports (343 State St., Rochester, NY 14650) 21 May 1971)

Additional information

There are no acute toxicity studies of iodmonochlorid available. Results of two acute toxicity studies are cited in RTECS database:

The lowest lethal dose (LDLo) oral in rats is 50 mg/kg bw [(Kodak Company Reports (343 State St., Rochester, NY 14650) 21 May 1971].

The lowest lethal dose (LDLo) dermal in rats is 500 mg/kg bw [(Kodak Company Reports (343 State St., Rochester, NY 14650) 21 May 1971]

Justification for classification or non-classification

For dermal and oral toxicity in rats not the LD50 but the LDLo is determined. However it is used for the classification of iodmonochlorid.

Classified according to Directive 67/548/EEC as T, R25, R21.

Classified according to Regulation 1272/2008/EC (CLP) as Category 2 for acute oral administration and Category 3 for acute dermal administration.
