The test item was introduced under the solid crystallized form. The mass of sample weighed was about 20 to 28 mg.

Temperature used for the determination of the vapour pressure of the test item are 25 °C, 21 °C and 20 °C.

The major part of the test item was evaporated after the experimentation. No degradation of the test item was observed.

The vapour pressure of the test item was calculated by the “Knudsen equation". The calculation results are summarized in the following table.

The molecular weight of O-Diethoxybenzene is 166.22 g/mol.

The graph log P = f (1/T) was then plotted to extrapolate the vapour pressure at 20 and 25 °C :

Log P = (-6143.67 / T)+21.72

Conclusions:
The vapour pressure of O-Diethoxybenzene extrapolated at 20°C is P = 5.7 Pa.
The vapour pressure of O-Diethoxybenzene extrapolated at 25°C is P = 13 Pa.
The volatility of the test item at 20°C is H= 1.5 Pa.m3.mol-1 (calculated value).
Executive summary:

The vapour pressure is determined in compliance with the EC A4 method, the OECD Guideline No 104 and the GLP. The method used in this study is the Knudsen cell effusion method coupled to a micro-balance.

The major part of the test item was evaporated after the experimentation. No degradation of the test item was observed.

Based on these results, the test item has a low volatility.
