Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

A single toxicity data was available for isodecyl acrylate. No effects on aquatic invertebrates (Daphnia magna) were reported at the water solubility limit in a short-term toxicity test performed according to the OECD testing guideline 202.

Acute toxicity data of a structural and functional analogue (2 -propylheptyl acrylate, CAS N. 149021 -58 -9) of the test item isodecyl acrylate are available for all four freshwater aquatic trophic levels (fish, aquatic invertebrates, algae and microorganisms). These data were used to fill by read-across the ecotoxicity endpoints of the isodecyl acrylate registration dossier.

Freshwater fish:

No effects observed at the water solubility limit after 96h of exposure to the analogue.

Freshwater invertebrates:

No effects observed at the water solubility limit after 48h of exposure to the test substance.

EC50 value of 161 mg/L for Daphnia magna after 48h of exposure to the analogue.

Freshwater algae:

EC10and EC50 values based on growth rate for Desmodesmus subspicatus after 72h of exposure to the analogue were determined to be 21.8 and 84.9 mg/L, respectively.

Aquatic microorganisms:

EC10and EC50 values based on respiration of activated sludge after 180 min of exposure to the analogue were determined to be 340 and >1000 mg/L, respectively.
