The QSAR calculated rate constant for the OH sensitized photodegradation of dodecanedioic acid is approximately 1.41E-11 cm3/(molecule * s) (AopWin Computer Program, Vers. 1.92, integrated in U.S. EPA's EPI program Vers. 4.1). At 500,000 OH radicals / cm3, this corresponds to a half-life of 27.4 hours.Dodecanedioic acid and its structural analogs are not expected to be persistent in the atmosphere. This means that the components of Corfree® M1 diacids are not expected to be persistant in the atmosphere.

Corfree® M1 is not expected to hydrolyse, but it is readily biodegradable. Persistence and accumulation in water is not expcted to occur.
