Results and discussion

One employee from Applied Biosystems alleged symptoms of a slight itching on the hands associated with exposure to TBTU. The employee making the allegation did not seek medical treatment or lose time from work as a result of the exposure.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Although the data were published under the item of sesitization, it is not clear that a sensitation is the reason for the itching of the hands. In contrast it seems to be more probable that an irritating action of TBTU is the reason for the symptoms.
