Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Remarks:
extrapolated

Calculation method: Regression non-linear of the measured points. The viscosity in function of the temperature is extrapolated by means of the equation as below.

η(T) = 10exp{A+[-B/(t+C)]}

with: A = - 1.94307 ; B = 465.951 ; C = 107.44 ; t = temperature in °C

From this regression, the value as the standard temperature of 20°C can be extrapolated: 52 mPa.s.

Conclusions:
Fluid liquid at ambient temperature (52 mPa.s at 20°C, extrapolated).
Executive summary:

The dynamic viscosity of the test substance was measured with rotational viscometer. Determinations were performed between 120 and 30°C, the regression as a function of temperature was calculated, and the value at the standard temperature of 20°C was extrapolated from the equation.

Viscosity decreases with temperature.

Description of key information

20 °C

Additional information

A reliable experimental study, conducted according to DIN standard, is available. Despite restrictions due to lack of experimental details, it is considered as a key study. Measurements were recorded between 30 and 120°C, and the extrapolated result at 20°C is retained as key data.
