The only available study on stability of methyl undec-10-enoate is a Klimisch 2 rated GLP guideline study on pH-dependent hydrolysis with slight methodological deviations from OECD guideline. Results showed a strong hydrolysis of methyl undec-10-enoate at pH values of 1.2 and 9 whereas at pH 4 and 7, at best slight hydrolysis was observed. At pH 1.2, the hydrolysis was faster than at pH 9 and not only dependent on pH value but also on temperature; higher temperature corresponding with shorter half-life of the substance. The main metabolite of methyl undec-10-enoate detected during the study was undec-10-enoic acid.
