Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Based on intrinsic properties of Amines, N-(C16-18 and C18-unsatd. alkyl)trimethylenedi-, diacetates (high water solubility and low log Pow), the substance is not expected to bioaccumulate in organism tissues. The Log Kow (Pow) of Amines, N-(C16-18 and C18-unsatd. alkyl)trimethylenedi-, diacetates was determined to be 0.49 at 25 °C according to OECD 123 and following GLP. The same method was used to determine the Log Kow of diamines. The partition coefficient of Amines, N-C16-18-alkyl (evennumbered) propane-1,3-diamine and (Z)-N-9-octadecenylpropane-1,3-diamine are 1.5 and 0, respectively. These results confirm that the presence of acetates have low influence on the behaviour of diamines acetates in the environment (see the read-across justification document in the summary Biodegradation and Ecotoxicological Information).

The experimental partition coefficient obtained for the registered substance is very low and is above the screening threshold of log Kow < 3, therefore no potential for bioaccumulation is expected.
