Justification:
Phenyl bis(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)-phosphine oxide is not readily biodegradable, is considered to be stable against hydrolysis and meets therefore the criteria for Persistenct (P). Its log Kowvalue is greater than 4.5, therefore the substance may have limited bioaccumulation potential. It does not meet the criteria for Toxicity (T).
Phenyl bis(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)-phosphine oxide should be considered as fulfilling the criteria for Persistence, (maybe) having limited bioaccumulation potentiak , but not fulfilling the criteria for Toxicity. Therefore, it does not fulfil the PBT/vPvB criteria.
