Results and discussion

Water solubility
Water solubility:
>= 0.17 - <= 0.25 g/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
ca. 7
Details on results:
A plot of surface tension against logarithm of concentration is shown in Fig. 1. The data was fitted with two straight lines. The intersection of the lines at 0.21 g/L is taken as the critical micelle concentration (cmc). The standard error in the cmc is estimated from the uncertainty of the slope of the low concentration line and of the position of the high concentration one to be ± 0.04 g/L.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L)
The critical micelle concentration of N-[3-(isodecyloxy)propyl]propane-1,3-diamine at 20 °C is: 0.21 ± 0.04 g/L The critical micelle concentration is the appropriate parameter describing water solubility of surface active materials.
Executive summary:

The critical micelle concentration of N-[3-(isodecyloxy)propyl]propane-1,3-diamine at 20 °C is: 0.21 ± 0.04 g/L The critical micelle concentration is the appropriate parameter describing water solubility of surface active materials.
