Several studies on the biodegradability of benzylamine under aerobic and anaerobic conditions are available. All studies indicate a fast biodegradation of benzylamine under the conditions of the test. The key study, a ready biodegradability test (MITI, 1992) is defined as key studies for the present dossier. Several supporting studies show similar results concerning the ready and inherent biodegradability of benzylamine. Considering the results of the tests it can be concluded that benzylamine is readily (and inherently) biodegradable.
