Description of key information

Toxicity to soil macro-organisms except arthropods:

None of the use of the chemical relate to scenarios where exposure to the soil compartment is likely to take place. Therefore, considering that direct or indirect exposure to soil compartment is unlikely, toxicity to soil macro-organisms except arthropods was considered for waiver.

Toxicity to terrestrial arthropods:

In accordance with column 2 of Annex IX of the REACH regulation, this end point was considered for waiver since direct or indirect exposure to the soil compartment is highly unlikely; given this chemical is used as an antioxidant in lubricants and as an organic intermediate. Hence it is expected that toxicity to the terrestrial arthropods with the chemical is unlikely.

Toxicity to terrestrial plants:

In accordance with column 2 of Annex IX of the REACH regulation, this end point was considered for waiver since direct or indirect exposure to the soil compartment is highly unlikely; given this chemical is used as an antioxidant in lubricants and as an organic intermediate. Hence it is expected that toxicity to the terrestrial plants with the chemical is unlikely.

Toxicity to soil microorganisms:

In accordance with column 2 of Annex IX of the REACH regulation, this end point was considered for waiver since direct or indirect exposure to the soil compartment is highly unlikely; given this chemical is used as an antioxidant in lubricants and as an organic intermediate. Hence it is expected that toxicity to the soil microorganisms with the chemical is unlikely.
