Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with plenty of water. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and wash skin with soap and
water. If irritation develops, seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, water, foam or dry powder may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon together
with hydrogen fluoride and other toxic products.

Protective equipment: Use an approved self-contained breathing apparatus and wear
protective clothing for skin and eyes.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear full personal protective equipment (see 2.3.1). Absorb
spill with suitable absorbent material eg sand. Transfer to
suitably labelled containers and dispose of in accordance
with local regulations. Avoid spillage to drains or surface
water.

Handling and storage

Handling: Handle in well ventilated area, away from sources of
ignition and hot surfaces. Impermeable gloves, goggles,
self-contained breathing apparatus and full personal
protective equipment should be used.

When drum filling allow for thermal expansion.

Storage: Store in tightly sealed container, away from naked flames
and hot surfaces. Avoid contact with lithium, sodium,
potassium, calcium and barium.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Sealed aluminium cans fitted with a plastic lid, 1 kg, 5 kg
to 10 kg of solution in perfluorohexane.
