Executive summary:

A study was conducted for the determination of short term toxicity of ARCOT 3135 against Daphnia magna STRAUS according to OECD 202 resp.EU C.2.

The study was performed using 6 concentrations ranging from 2.2 to 100 mg/L. nominal concentration. For each test concentration, 20 Daphnia were exposed to the test item for 48 hours in a static test system. After 24 and 48 hours, the immobilised Daphnia were counted.

4 concentrations showed toxicity between 25 and 100% immobilisation. In the control, none of the animals were immobilised. The following results were determined for the test item ARCOT 3135 (species: Daphnia magna) :

The 24h EC 50 is 22 mg/L (95% confidence interval 18-27 mg/L).

The 48h EC 50 is 15 mg/L (95% confidence interval 12-18 mg/L).

The 48h NOEC is 4.6 mg/L.
