First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: The substance is not volatile, but if exposed to dust,

remove person to area of fresh air.  Seek medical advice if

signs of discomfort.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15

minutes. Seek medical advice immediately. Show copy of

safety sheet to medical staff.

Treat as for amines or amine solution.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.  Remove contaminated clothing and

wash before re-use. Seek medical advice.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water and drink small quantity of water

(500 ml). Do not induce vomitting.

If signs of discomfort or if large quantity ingested, seek

medical advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: No special pracautions for the substance or preparation.

Water, water spray, carbon dioxide or chemical foam.

Product arising from burning: Complete combustion will lead to carbon dioxide, nitrogen

oxides and water. Under confined conditions, incomplete

combustion may lead to the formation of carbon monoxide

and amines.

Protective equipment: No special precautions, although face protection with

breathing apparatus, coveralls and chemical resistant rubber

gloves are recommended.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Collect material and dispose of as hazardous waste.  The

area of spill may  be washed with with large quantities of

detergent and water.

Avoid release of the substance to watercourses, soil and

drains.

Handling and storage

Handling: Protective equipment when handling the substance in bulk or

during transfer prior to formulation should include suitable

butyl gloves, goggles and protective outer clothing.

The preparation is considered to be hazardous and no

special precautions are recommended.

Storage: No special precautions.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Expected to be imported in plastic containers containing a

maximum of 20 litres of the dilute preparation.
