The log POW value can be estimated based on a combination of available data in a Weight of Evidence approach. A statement was provided by a testing laboratory which stated that the octanol-water partition coefficient of the test item was considered to be below zero, although they were not able to confirm this in an experimental study. A calculation of the log POW value of an expected structure of the UVCB substance was conducted using KOWWIN of EPI Suite version 4.1. Additionally, the octanol-water partition coefficient value of each of the structures identified in an analytical report were found to be within the range of Log POW = -1.09 to Log POW = -1.16. Finally, the partition coefficient values of the starting materials were taken into consideration.

Based on the findings, the Log POW value was found to be ca. -1.1 at 25 °C.
