First-aid measures

General Advice:

Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.

Skin Contact:

Wash thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes. Wash contaminated clothes before reuse. Seek immediate medical attention.

Eye Contact:

IF IN EYES: Rinse continuously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do – continue rinsing.

IF exposed: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician

Ingestion:

If swallowed call a poison center if you feel unwell. Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting by use of emetics. Seek medical attention.

Inhalation:

Remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Call a physician if you feel unwell

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:

Dry chemical powder, chemical foam, and alcohol resistant foam. Avoid use of direct water jets to extinguish chemical fires.

Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: none known

Special Protective Equipment And Precautions For Fire Fighter:

Wear full protective clothing; wear self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) in fire situations. Avoid unnecessary run-off of extinguishing media, which may cause pollution

Further information:

Water used to extinguish fire should not enter drainage systems, soil, or stretches of water.

Contaminated fire-extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with the regulations issued by the appropriate local authorities.

Fire residues should be disposed of in accordance with the regulations

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:

Wear personal protective equipment including eye protection/ face shield.

Environmental precautions

Do not allow the product into the following compartments:

soil drainage systems or stretches of water

Methods for cleaning up

Allow to set, pick up mechanically.

Rinse away any residue with plenty of water.

Handling and storage

Safe handling advice:

Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion:

Danger of fire when heated or brought in contact with flame.

Formation of flammable or explosive dust/air mixtures possible.

Ground/bond container and receiving equipment

Use explosion-proof electrical/ventilating/light/…/equipment

Use only non-sparking tools

Take precautionary measures against static discharge

Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking.

Ensure there are sufficient retaining facilities for water used to extinguish fire.

Requirements for storage areas and containers:

Store in a cool dry place

Avoid light effect.

Keep container dry and tightly sealed - even empties.

Ensure suitable suction/aeration at the work place and with operational machinery.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure Controls:

Provide exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls to keep the relevant airborne concentrations below their respective occupational exposure limits. Local ventilation is usually preferred. Open handling must be limited. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.

Personal Protection:

Protective clothing should be selected specifically for the working place, depending on concentration and quantity of the hazardous substances handled. The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with the respective supplier.

Hands: Wear compatible gloves.

Eyes: Use goggles or chemical safety glasses, and/or face-shield.

Clothing: Boots and clothing to prevent contact.

Respirator: If ambient conditions deem the need of a respirator use an appropriate respirator as per an approved program.

Stability and reactivity

Stability: Stable at normal temperatures and pressure.

Conditions to avoid: Incompatible substances, excess moisture.

Incompatible chemicals: Strong oxidizing agents, strong acids and bases Hazardous decomposition:

Thermal decomposition may produce carbon monoxide, carbon dioxides and oxides of nitrogen

Hazardous Polymerization: Not reported

Disposal considerations

Dispose of this material in accordance with standard practice for disposal of potentially hazardous materials as required by applicable federal, state or local laws. Note that disposal regulations may also apply to empty containers and equipment rinsates.
