Description of key information

Bis(pentane-2,4-dionato) zinc is biodegraded by 82% at day 28 in the Closed Bottle test according to OECD 301D. Over 60% biodegradation was achieved in a period of 6 days immediately following the attainment of 10% biodegradation. The window criterion was therefore met. Bis(pentane-2,4-dionato) zinc should therefore be classified as readily biodegradable.

The test according to OECD 301B confirmed the substance as readily biodegradable. 87% of the test substance were degradated within 13 days.
