Alternative Identification:
Arocy XU 366
Appearance/Physical state:
Yellow viscous liquid
Batch:
FAR366085A
Expiry / Retest date:
29 September 2019
Storage conditions:
Approximately 4 °C, in the dark
Key result
Remarks on result:
not determinable
Remarks:
The test item decomposed from approximately 242 °C (515 K) at 101.6 kPa

Similar thermographic profiles were obtained using air and nitrogen atmospheres; this indicated that the observed decomposition was probably thermal and not oxidative.

The left limit of the exotherm was used rather than the extrapolated onset as significant change in heat flow was already apparent before the extrapolated onset. As such, the lowest left limit has been reported as the approximate onset of decomposition.

Conclusions:
The test item decomposed from approximately 242 °C (515 K) at 101.6 kPa. As a result of this, no value for boiling temperature could be determined at atmospheric pressure.
Executive summary:

Boiling Point. Decomposed from approximately 242 °C (515 K) at 101.6 kPa by differential scanning calorimetry, designed to be compatible with Method A.2 Boiling Temperature of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 103 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995 As a result of decomposition, no value for boiling point could be determined.

Description of key information

The test item decomposed from approximately 242 °C (515 K) at 101.6 kPa. As a result of this, no value for boiling temperature could be determined at atmospheric pressure.
