Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to fish

In a acute toxicity test with fish, conducted according to OECD TG 203, EU Method C.1 and OPPTS 850.1075, the 96h-LC50 of the test item was determined to be > 100 mg/L (reference 6.1.1 -1).

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

In a acute immobilisation test with Daphnia magna, conducted according to OECD TG 202, EU Method C.2 and OPPTS 850.1010, the 48-h EC50 of the test item was determined to be > 100 m/L (reference 6.1.3 -1).

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria

In a growth inhibition test with freshwater algae, conducted according to OECD TG 201, EU Method C.3 and OPPTS 850.5400, the EC50-values of the hydrated substance for inhibition of growth rate (ErC50) and yield (EyC50) after 72 hours were 18.39 mg/L and 8.44 mg/L, respectively (reference 6.1.5 -1). The NOEC-values of the hydrated substance for both inhibition of growth rate and yield after 72 hours were 3.52 mg/L, respectively. The 72-h EC50 and 72-h NOEC (growth rate) for the anhydrous substance was calculated to be EC50 = 16.47 mg/L and  NOEC = 3.15 mg/L.
