Description of key information

For test substance 25 °C a hydrolysis half-life time of 7h44min in buffered solution at pH 4 and a hydrolysis half-life time of 1h5min in buffered solution at pH 7 were observed. The test substance is degraded in aqueous solution and undergoes 3step hydrolysis to yield first singly hydrolysed product (SHP), doubly hydrolysed product (DHP) and then Maleic acid (MA).

The test substance is not readily biodegradable according to the criteria of the OECD 301 guideline. The predicted value of adsorption/desorption using QSAR method is 309.7 L/kg.
