Additional information

Tetradecane:       Skin: A slight irritation can be observed

Eye: None of the three animals gave a positive response. No corneal damage or iridial inflammation was observed. Temporary mild conjuctival reactions only were seen.

Paraffin wax:       Skin: A slight irritation can be observed

Eye: Two of the samples caused mild irritation in one rabbit on day 1; the other samples were not irritating.

Based on the results from similar substances C14 -17 -Alkanes is expected to be slightly irritating to the Skin and to the Eye.
