Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Conclusions:
In accordance with Column 2, specific rules for adaptation from Column 1, of Annex VII of the REACH Regulation, the oxidising properties study, required in section 7.13, does not need to be conducted for Gd2Zr2O7 based on its chemical structure. Gd2Zr2O7 is an inorganic oxide in which the inorganic elements Gadolinium (+3) and Zirconium (+4) are in there highest possible oxidation states. Therefore, the substance is not sensitive to oxygen release.
Executive summary:

In accordance with Column 2, specific rules for adaptation from Column 1, of Annex VII of the REACH Regulation, the oxidising properties study, required in section 7.13, does not need to be conducted for Gd2Zr2O7 based on its chemical structure. Gd2Zr2O7 is an inorganic oxide in which the inorganic elements Gadolinium (+3) and Zirconium (+4) are in there highest possible oxidation states. Therefore, the substance is not sensitive to oxygen release.
