Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Biodegradation in water

Estimation Programs Interface Suite (EPI suite, 2017) was run to predict the biodegradation potential of the test compound Disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt ( CAS no. 1328 -51 -4) in the presence of mixed populations of environmental microorganisms. The biodegradability of the substance was calculated using seven different models such as Linear Model, Non-Linear Model, Ultimate Biodegradation Timeframe, Primary Biodegradation Timeframe, MITI LInear Model, MITI Non-Linear Model and Anaerobic Model (called as Biowin 1 -7, respectively) of the BIOWIN v4.10 software. The results indicate that Disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt is expected to be not readily biodegradable.

Bioaccumulation: aquatic / sediment

Based on the predicted data by BCFBAF Program (v3.01) model the Bioaccumulation factor (BCF) was predicted to be 536.1 L/kg wet-wt at 25 deg.C. Based on the BCF concentration it is concluded that the test chemical Disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt is non bioaccumulative in nature as it does not exceed the BCF criteria of 2000.

Adsorption / desorption

The Soil Adsorption Coefficient i.e Koc value of Disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt was estimated using EPI suite  KOCWIN Program (v2.00) program as Koc 10000000000 L/kg(log Koc=10)  by means of MCI method at 25 deg.C. This Koc value indicates that the substance Disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt has a Very strong sorption to soil and sediment and therefore have negligible migration potential to groundwater.
