Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test item is a liquid and the flammability does not need to be tested.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to the ECHA (2008, Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment. Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance. Guidance for the implementation of REACH, section R.7.1.10 Flammability, p 120) the flammability does not have to be tested for liquids as the flash point is the primary indicator for ease of ignition of liquids. The Flash point of the submission item was determined to be 188 deg C and is adequate for classification labelling and assessment (non-flammable). In addition, the submission item does not ignite in contact with air or water. Thus no further study for flammability is required and the hazard assessment for ignition is based on the flash point of the submission item.
