Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 112 (Dissociation Constants in Water)
Version / remarks:
12 May 1981
Deviations:
yes
Remarks:
for high basicity CFS10Al
Principles of method if other than guideline:
In Attachment file "water soluble aluminium salts" there is an opportunity for alternative dissociation constants. This dependence reflects the relationship between the data in Table 2 (blue) and products synthesized by us with numbers 2 to 7 in Table 3 As we have shown, the basicity of the solutions we investigate can easily be calculated on the analytical data for the composition.
Find dependency: pK = 1,4478.a+5,0668 оr pK = -1,4478.Mo + 13,753
(R² = 0,9821)
This is an opportunity to determine the value of the dissociation constant with sufficient confidence.
This is particularly useful in the case of high basicity and highly concentrated polyaluminum salt solutions for which standard potentiometric titration methods is not aplicable.
GLP compliance:
yes
