In run 1 the sample discoloured to yellow at 135°C, in run 2 discolouration was observed at 130.2°C.

The boiling point observed in this test is unexpectedly low in comparison with the melting range determined as part of EC Test A.1 (IUCLID section 4.2).

It is suspected that this may be due to the fact that the test material is a mixture. The components of the test material may have influenced the melting point and boiling point reversely. The components with higher melting points (longer chain lengths) may have a greater influence on the melting point whilst the components with a lower boiling point (shorter chain length) may have had a greater influence on the boiling point. Therefore the composition of the test material must be taken into consideration when interpreting the results.

Conclusions:
The boiling point under atmospheric pressure was reported to be 126.4°C.
