First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air, symptomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for at least 15 minutes.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention, symptomatic treatment.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion products may contain carbon, nitrogen and
sulphur oxides together with some soot. A self-contained
breathing apparatus should be worn. Suitable extinguishing
agents are water, foam, carbon dioxide and dry powder.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Damp down and sweep up spillages. Transfer material to
waste containers for disposal at a landfill site or
suitable incinerator. Solutions should be absorbed using
suitable material before disposal as for solids.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance should be stored, handled and used under
conditions of good industrial hygiene. Respirators should
be worn if there is a danger of dust inhalation (eg. Racal
PH2-type satisfying DIN 58645, part 2 (PREN 146) or a
respirator satisfying BS 2091B).

Storage: No special precautions.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery of the substance is not economically or
technically feasible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous effects.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at a controlled landfill site is possible.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method; waste gas treatment to remove carbon
and nitrogen oxides should be used.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is not rapidly degraded and is of low
toxicity to aquatic organisms.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance itself will not enter the public domain
except as part of an article (which may be disposed of as
domestic waste).
