Description of key information
In accordance with column 2 of Annex X, no carcinogenicity study needs to be performed. Sulphur hexafluoride is not mutagenic and the substance did not show any toxicity in the sub-chronic 90-day inhalation study at the relatively high concentration of 120870 mg/m3.

Based on the available data (genotoxicity and repeated dose toxicity), classification is not warranted according to EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
