Endpoint:
adsorption / desorption: screening
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient and the adsorption potential of this substance is related to this parameter
Justification for type of information:
See attached justification

Description of key information

Adsorption to solid soil phase is not expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The physio-chemical characteristics of the substance indicate that the substance will not adsorb to soil or suspended matter. The water solubility of the substance as well as the solubility in octanol are very low.

The assumption is supported by a calculation using SRC KOCWIN v2.00 giving a log koc of -0.2.
