Additional information

Skin irritation:

In a primary skin irritation study (Draize test) with undiluted test substance a 24-hour exposure under an occlusive coverage caused individual mean scores (24, 48, 72 h) for erythema/edema of 2.0/2.0 for all three rabbits. After 8 days, surface necroses were observed in 2 animals, parchmentlike necrosis in 1 animal. Strong skaling was observed after 8 days (BASF AG, 1980).

Eye irritation:

In a Draize test, 0.1 ml undiluted test substance resulted in individual mean individual mean cornea/iris/conjunctivae/chemosis scores (24, 48, 72 h) of 0/0/1/0, 0/0/1.3/0 and 0/0/1.3/0 for the 3 animals tested. At the end of the observation period (8 d), only slight redness of the conjunctivae was still present in one animal (BASF AG, 1980).
