Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No definitive flash point was determined for the test item below 300 °C indicated that the substance would not be flammable while as a solid (EU Method A.9).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
not classified

Additional information

The flammability (solids) test (EU Method A.10) was not performed as the test item, although a solid at room temperature, was shown to melt over the range 32 to 45 °C. The fact that no definitive flash point was determined for the test item below 300 °C indicated that the substance would not be flammable while as a solid.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test item, although a solid at room temperature, was shown to melt over the range 32 to 45 °C and was investigated as a flammable liquid. The substance was found to have no determinable flashpoint below 300 °C and, on the basis of this result, flammability of the solid form was considered to be highly unlikely. Classification as a flammable solid under the terms of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 is therefore unnecessary.
