Description of key information

Disilver sulphate is white, odourless, crystalline inorganic substance with a melting point of 655°C and decompose at ca. 1085°C.

According to the database, disilver sulphate has a density of 5.45g/cm3.

The particle size distribution of a representative commercial sample of disilver sulphate was performed and disilver sulphate has a D50= ca. 39.5µm.  The inhalable fraction has been estimated as follows: head-region: 53.95%, tracheobronchial-region: 0.06%, pulmonary-region 0.01%. The balance to 100%, i.e. 45.95% of airborne material are considered not to be inhalable.

Water solubility of disilver sulphate is approximately 8.2g/L at 20°C.
