Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Flash point is determined in accordance with ASTM D93 closed cup method.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The key value for flash point was measured in accordance with ASTM-93 closed cup method. No flash point up to 104.4 deg. C, the test substance boils at 105.5 deg. C. The substance is classified as self-reactive type E substance and has hazard class/division 4.1 for transport. The flash point for liquid self-reactive substances or mixtures is only relevant in the temperature range where the product is thermally stable. Above the SADT of the self-reactive substance or mixture, flash point determination is not relevant because decomposition products are evolved.

For this substance the flash point is higher than the SADT temperature (45 deg. C). In case the self-reactive substance or mixture is diluted or dissolved, the diluent may determine the flash point. The formulated product (CLK-222) is only used in the EU, and formulated by using water as diluent. This different hazard profile of the formulation product is taken into account for the CSA (ES&RC and C&L).
