Description of key information

Heptadecanol N is biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

To assess the potential of Heptadecanol N to biodegrade, a GLP study with non-adapted domestic sludge conducted. The test procedures followed the OECD guideline 301 B. In this test a degradation of 80 - 90% after 28 days was reported, but the 10 -day window criterion was failed [BASF, 1999].
