Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam or carbon dioxide may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,

nitrogen and sulfur together with some soot.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Protective equipment and a self-contained breathing

apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate all personnel from the immediate vicinity and

isolate the affected area.

Wear an air suit or breathing apparatus and impervious

clothing designed to protect the head and skin, rubber or

plastic gloves and boots.

Collect the spillage, preferably by vacuum, and place it in

a suitably labelled, sealed container for disposal or

recovery. When as much as possible of the spillage has been

collected, flush the spillage site with copious amounts of

water to an effluent drain. Dispose of waste material in

accordance with local regulations.

If the spillage is in an enclosed or partially enclosed

area, thoroughly ventilate the area before allowing

re-access.
