The logPow of this substance was determined by HPLC method according to OECD guidance 117.
Two peaks were detected from the chromatography with the retention time 0.753 min and 31.054 min and the percentage area of 4.17% and 95.8%, respectively. The partition coefficient of the test item was therefore determined to be in the range of logPow < 0.3 to > 6.5 at 30 °C.
However the retention time of these two peaks were not within the calibration curve and the experimental results of logPow were outside the applicablity range of the method (0-6). Taking into account the limitations of the test and considering the logPow value for the main peak (percentage area 95.8%), the log Pow of Fatty Acids, C-18 unsaturated, trimers, hydrogenated should be judged to be > 6.
