Description of key information

The test item shows an exothermic decomposition in the temperature range 240 -450°C with an energy of approximately 731 J/g.
The test item forms stable complexes with multivalent metal ions like e.g. iron(II), iron(III) and alumimun(III) in aqueous solutions.
According to the UV/VIS spectrum Octopirox absorbs at wavelengths above 290 nm.

Additional information

The DSC-measurements in closed glass crucibles showed an endothermic effect in the temperature range 125 – 150 °C (melting) and an exothermic decomposition in the temperature range 240 – 450 °C with an energy of 719 J/g or 742 J/g, respectively (see study repor t #20080961.02)
