Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In a non-GLP compliant study the boiling point range of the test material was determined according to the standardised guideline, ASTM D6352-98 (Standard Test Method for Boiling Range Distribution of Petroleum Distillates in Boiling Range from 174 to 700ºC), which is similar to OECD 103. The test material was analysed using gas chromatography, as this was better suited to the boiling range of the test material than the atmospheric distillation method outlined in OECD 103. The final boiling temperature was reported as a greater than value due to the limitations of the test method. Under the conditions of the test, the boiling range of the test material was determined to be 193 to >700 ºC, 379 to >1292 ºF or 466 to >973 K.

The study was performed to standardised guidelines with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the submitted data. The study was assigned a reliability score of 2 and considered suitable for assessment as an accurate reflection of the test material.

The available data are considered to be complete and the result determined, boiling range 193 to >700 °C, was taken forward for risk assessment.
