 The 96-h LC50 was 2.244 mg/L, based on mortality for a test with the Zebrafish, Danio rerio.

A reliable short-term toxicity study with fish is available for reaction mass of Amines, coco alkyl and ß-Alanine, N-(2-carboxyethyl)-, N-coco alkyl derivs. and ß-Alanine, N-coco alkyl derivs. and included in this dossier.

 

Gancet & Haurat (2005) conducted a reliable (Klimisch 2) GLP compliant study according to OECD 203 methods. Juvenile Zebrafish,Danio reriowere exposed to nominal concentration of 0, 1.35, 1.75, 2.28, 2.96, 3.85 and 5 mg/L of the test substance in solvent for 96 hrs under static conditions.Measured concentrations were 96 to 121 % of nominal concentrations. The 96-h LC50 was 3.4 mg/L, based on mortality.Since the test substance was in 34% solvent, the actual effect concentration (96hr LC50), based on active ingredient was calculated to be 2.244 mg/L. Consequently this value will be taken as the short-term toxicity in fish endpoint for the test substance.
