Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation:

Remove to fresh air. If irritation occurs, seek medical

advice immediately.

Emergency measure - Eyes:

Rinse with sufficient quantities of water for at least

15 min; seek medical advice immediately.

Emergency measure - Skin:

Wash affected zone thoroughly with soap and water. Seek

medical advice immediately.

Emergency measure - Ingestion:

Wash out mouth with plenty of water. Seek immdiate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent:

Foam, water, CO2, dry chemical.

Product arising from burning:

CO/CO2 and chlorine-containing compounds.

Product determined by test: N  Protective equipment:

Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing

apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage:

Evacuate personal from the immediate surrounding area.  Wear personal protective equipment acc. to 2.3.10.  Avoid dust formation by moistening with water.  Absorb solutions with a suitable inert material (e.g.  sand or soil). Fill carefully into waste containers  or use a closed ind. vacuum cleaner.  The waste containers must be labelled in the same manner  as the original containers.  Clean spillage area with water and detergent.  Incinerate waste material in accordance with local

regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling:

Avoid inhalation.  If exposition can take place wear personal protective equipment (gloves (norm prEN374), chemical resistant chlothes (EN368), eye protection (prEN166)).  If necessary wear breathing protection (e.g. dust mask acc. to prEN149 FFP1).   All working procedures must always be designed so that the exposure by inhalation of the substance is as low as possible. Skin and eye contact with the substance should be avoided.  As far as possible, closed equipment should be used during transfer, metered feeding and sampling.   In the case of handling in open systems any dust that may form should be extracted directly at the point of origin. Suitable personal protective equipment must be worn in cases where exposure cannot be prevented or suitably controlled. Such protective equipment must conform to the corresponding national or international standards:   - Chemical-resistance gloves according to standard prEN374  (e.g. ::::)  - Chemical-resistant clothing according to standard EN368  (e.g. ::::)  - Eye protection according to standard prEN166  (e.g. ::::)  If necessary, suitable respiratory protection must be worn, e.g. a dust mask according to EN149 FFP1.  The above-mentioned standards are to be considered minimum requirements.  Outdoor clothing should be kept separate from working clothes.  If there is the possibility of the formation of dust, due to the potential dust-explosion risk potential ignition sources should be removed from the working area. In addition, measures should be taken to prevent static discharge.

Storage:

For storage, use the original packing drums or other unbreakable containers that are labelled according to

the regulations.  Keep them tightly closed and secure them against falling by taking suitable measures.  Avoid product residues on the packing drums.  Store below 40°C in a well ventilated area.  Avoid ignition sources, sunlight or contact with alkaline and oxidizing materials.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Paper bags (20 kg)
