Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No adverse effects of epoxiconazole on nitrogen transformation in soil was observed at both test concentrations after 28 days. The NOEC was determined to be higher than 63 mg/kg dw at the end of the test procedure.

Additional information

The effect of epoxiconazole on soil microorganisms, was investigated in a study according to OECD 216 (soil microorganisms - nitrogen transformation test). This GLP study was performed in a loamy sand soil and the test substance was applied to samples of the soil at nominal test concentrations of 12.72 mg/kg and 63.60 mg/kg dry soil. No adverse effects of epoxiconazole on nitrogen transformation in soil was observed at both test concentrations after 28 days. The NOEC was determined to be higher than 63 mg/kg dw at the end of the test procedure. (BASF SE, rep.no.: 2016/10000345, 2016).

It can be concluded that based on the available experimental data, epoxiconazole does not have a long-term influence on the nitrogen transformation in soils.
