Results and discussion


Solubility experiments were run at 25 ml/hr and 12.5 ml/hr initially. The results from columns A and B appeared to indicate a rising solubility at the lower flow rate, therefore a third column was prepared (column C). Column C was run at 6.25 ml/hr.



Results from column A were not used in the calculation of final solubility as these results exceeded the 30% between-column variance limit specified in the OECD 105 guideline. Instead, the final concentration was calculated exclusively from the B and C samples.



All specified validity criteria were satisfied in this test, between-column final concentrations varied by 25.17% (<30% required).



No temperature dependence or chemical instability of the material was observed during this study.


 


The water solubility of [trade name] 5372 was found to be 40.18 ± 5.46 mg/l at 20 ± 0.2 °C, pH 7 using the column elution method.
